Closed at first, then slowly opens to reveal citrus peel, peach skin, and a faint mineral undercurrent from the heavy marls and gypsum below. The sweetness is gentle rather than bold — peachy, almost serene — but it's the bitter citrus pith texture and the soil-driven finish that define this wine. Two parcels make up the blend: one Riesling, one ancient field blend, the very plot that set Jean-Michel Deiss on his path. Give it time in the glass. The more air it gets, the more it gives.
