Marcel Deiss Grasberg 2020

Riesling and Gewurztraminer grown together on Jurassic limestone at 350m, harvested late and aged in foudre. The palate leads with ripe peach and citrus zest, grounded by the cool mineral tension that limestone delivers. A thread of botrytis honeyed sweetness runs through without overwhelming, at 35g/L it feels rounded rather than rich, the fruit staying vivid and clean. Precise and quietly complex.
