Iron, smoke and crushed flowers on the nose — precise and compelling from the start. The palate is dark and juicy, tannins grippy but polished, with a muscularity that never tips into roughness. This used to be a wild, boisterous wine; the limestone and volcanic soils at 350 meters have always pushed acidity and energy, but the 2020 channels all of that into something toned and finessed. Long, structured finish. Serious aging potential.
