Twelve months in oak has given this Stellenbosch Cabernet a distinctly Médoc-leaning character, blackberry, tobacco leaf and a cedary undercurrent on the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate with chewy tannins that grip firmly, though a faint bitter edge unsettles the finish before it can fully resolve. Toasted oak and light liquorice linger briefly before the wine cuts away sooner than you'd hope.
