Hugel Pinot Noir 2020

Bright and immediate, with wild strawberry and fresh red fruit bursting from the glass, uncomplicated in the best sense. Half estate fruit from Riquewihr, half from the limestone soils of Vorbourg and Bollenberg Grand Crus, all vinified in stainless with minimal skin contact. The body is light, vivid and juicy, built purely for pleasure. A faint looseness on the mid-palate betrays the 2020 heat, but a flicker of white pepper on the finish keeps things honest.
