Vivid and expressive Nebbiolo from Altare's Giarborina vineyard. Crushed red berry, blood orange, fresh mint and white pepper, with a chalky mineral lift that gives the nose real definition. Bright acidity and a clean, focused structure on the palate. A touch of new oak still needs time to settle in, but the underlying quality is undeniable, give it three to five years and it should come together beautifully.
