Planted in 1998 along a geological fault at 280m, this monopole sits on Triassic sandstone and limestone capped by iron-rich tertiary conglomerates, a pedigree you can taste. Tart cherry, a trace of cocoa, and a stony floral note on the nose, clean and precise. On the palate, silky and nearly transparent, with tannins so fine they barely register, just a soft grip that keeps the fruit honest. Vivid red fruit, a flick of dark chocolate, and relentless freshness push through to a mouthwatering finish. For a 2020, there's no warmth or weight, just cool, assured elegance. Hard to resist now, but worth the patience.
