Baked pear and warm orchard fruit on the nose, the altitude and Triassic sandstone making themselves known through a bright, clean acidity that cuts right through the ripeness. The palate is concentrated and taut, with a lovely pear skin astringency that lingers alongside the fruit. What keeps it from feeling heavy is that lactic softening on the finish, a quiet buffer that rounds the edges without blunting the precision. Bone-dry and built to last.
