Dark cherry and a whisper of caramel lead on the nose, ripe and a touch brooding. The palate is full and driven, black cherry, lively acidity, and a flush of warmth from iron-rich Jurassic limestone soils and 20-year-old vines. Dense, fine tannins hold it all together with real grip. Still restless and wound tight; this needs time to settle into itself. There's enough stuffing here to reward patience.
