Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino Passo del Lume Spento 2019
Mentholated and strikingly fresh from the first pour, crushed stone, wild mint, and dusty dried strawberry with a purity that signals high-altitude Sangiovese. Juicy and tart, with a wave of wild berries cutting across the mid-palate before fine-grained tannins settle in and grip. The finish is mouth-puckering and vivid, primary fruit still very much in command, lifted by a persistent thread of acidity that keeps everything in motion. Potent but balanced, this is a spice-driven wine with real energy behind it. From bush-trained vines planted in 2012 at 621 meters, Passo del Lume Spento needs time to fully unwind. Drink 2027–2042.
