Wild red berries, damp earth, peppery herbs and a faint floral lift on the nose, inviting and unpretentious. On the palate, ripe cherry and a touch of sweet citrus ride a silky, approachable texture, with bright acidity and stony minerality keeping things lively through the finish. A thread of rose petal and vanilla rounds things out cleanly. Equal parts Sangiovese and Montepulciano, the Pongelli is built for near-term enjoyment, easygoing but genuinely charming.

Bucci

Bucci is one of the Marche's most serious producers, best known for its age-worthy Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Riserva Villa Bucci, a wine that routinely outperforms its appellation's modest reputation.
