Slow to reveal itself — initially closed and faintly herbal, but with patience it opens into wild strawberry, cedar spice, and crushed stone. Supple and finessed across the mid-palate, there's a lovely inner sweetness lifted by bright, mineral-edged acidity that gives the wine its genuine gravitas. Sour cherry and dried sage linger on a finish that is both fresh and impressively long. Built on energy rather than sheer weight, this is a Brunello of real distinction — and one of the standout bottles from the 2018 vintage. Drink 2026–2045.
