Joshua Cooper Wines Chardonnay The Old Port Righ Vineyard 2018

Pale gold with a smoky, aromatic lift — tangerine, poached pear, chamomile and toasted hazelnuts, with a thread of jasmine in the background. Full in body yet kept honest by lively acidity, the orchard fruit carrying a spice note that gives it shape and drive. The finish is long and composed, pear and warm spice lingering well past the last sip. Polished Chardonnay that could easily pass for a village Meursault in a blind lineup.
