One of 2018 Piedmont's quiet standouts, and Freisa rarely looks this composed. Dried rose, lavender, wild herbs and a thread of cool mint build an aromatic portrait that's both exotic and precise. Beautifully layered — there's real depth here, with a structure that holds everything in check without sacrificing the variety's natural expressiveness. Frankly, it outpaces more than a few Barolos from this uneven vintage.
