Comando G Rozas 1er Cru 2018

Old-vine Garnacha from Gredos granite at its most expressive. The nose leads with cherry liqueur, boysenberry and dried florals, a thread of licorice and smoky mineral depth woven through. Broad and fleshy at first, dark red fruit and a cola-like sweetness giving the mid-palate real presence and intrigue. Given time in the glass, it pulls together — tannins firm up, the structure tightens, and a long mineral finish comes through with clarity and even grip. Patience rewards here, both at the table and in the cellar.
