Dark red with real depth in the glass. Black raspberry, dried violet and warm spice lead on the nose, with a smoky, almost charcuterie-like note surfacing as it opens up. Entry is structured and firm — tannins wound tight at first — before the mid-palate fills out with boysenberry, candied lavender and a thread of licorice. The tannins accumulate gradually rather than hitting all at once, and the finish is spicy and long, that floral lift returning right at the close. A persuasive case for what Gredos Garnacha can do.
