From a steep, terraced plot at the heart of Schlossberg, granite, poor soils, small yields, this has the warmth of 2018 written all over it without sacrificing grip. Orange peel and candied citrus on the nose, ripe and lifted. The palate delivers Mirabelle plum and golden apple with a dried lemon edge keeping things honest. A phenolic bitterness adds texture and welcome bite; the finish is bone-dry, stony, and long.
