Alheit Vineyards Hemelrand Vine Garden 2018

Whole-cluster-pressed and aged in oak and foudres, this Hemel-en-Aarde white opens with honeysuckle, passion fruit and beeswax, a genuinely inviting nose that broadens with air. On the palate, a saline entry leads into fresh, focused acidity, and the finish drifts toward nuttier, more textured territory as the wine opens up. It doesn't quite reach the layered complexity of Alheit's finest Chenins, but it's a polished, well-knit white blend with real charm. Drink now through 2026.
