Silky and immediately inviting, Rocche di Castiglione's 2017 shows its hand early — red cherry, dried rose, cedar and tobacco layered over a core of supple, well-knit fruit. There's genuine depth here beneath the polished surface: spice, leather and a trace of dried flowers weave through a long, sensual finish.
