Renato Ratti Barolo Marcenasco 2017

Dried rose petals, crushed raspberry, orange zest and a touch of mint, this is Barolo in a generous, open-handed mood. The tannins are fine and approachable, framing fruit that's bright and sweetly perfumed rather than austere. It lacks the brooding depth of a great cru, but compensates with pure charm and immediate drinkability. An honest, pretty Barolo that rewards little patience.
