Kühling-Gillot Riesling Nackenheimer Rothenberg Würzelecht Grosses Gewächs 2017

Flint, wet stone, and a saline edge give way to an unexpected core of ripe stone fruit — the Rothenberg showing more generosity than its austere reputation might suggest. Precise and focused, with a vivid mineral charge that builds through a long, briny finish. The ungrafted vines lend a density and salinity that sets this apart, all carried on a lean, taut frame. Drinking well now but has the concentration to reward another five to eight years in the cellar.
