Jean Foillard Morgon Eponyme 2017

Dark cherry and violet lead with a streak of licorice and mineral earth underneath. On the palate, bitter cherry and dark berry sharpen into something livelier and sweeter as the wine opens up, real depth here, with the kind of floral persistence that lingers long after the finish. Tannins are still youthful and grippy, but the bones are excellent. Matches the outstanding 2016, which is hitting its stride right now.
