Looking at this wine, the iron and cedar minerality hits first, then waves of blackberry and cassis follow. The French oak shows its hand prominently. Perhaps too much so right now. But the underlying fruit has the density to absorb it. Full-bodied with structured tannins that grip without overwhelming. This needs five years to truly sing.
