Heady and aromatic from the start, dried wildflowers, black tea, musky pear and a faint herbal undercurrent. The texture is round and gently enveloping, with a touch of tropical citrus and an inner sweetness that keeps things from feeling austere. Savory notes pull back through the mid-palate, ending on a note of sour melon that adds intrigue and lift. The finish tapers long, leaving behind a trail of perfume and light structure. For a skin-contact wine that spent two years on lees in Slavonian oak after spontaneous fermentation in stone vats, the equilibrium here is genuinely impressive, nothing feels forced or out of place.
