Ginger root, bruised yellow apple, wild mint and a flinty undercurrent, Vitovska in a serious mood. Three weeks of skin contact gives the wine real grip: tart orchard fruit and sour citrus pull across the palate with cheek-puckering tension, while the texture stays dense and layered throughout. The finish turns saline and mouth-watering, with a tannic crunch and a lingering peppery bite that signals the four years in neutral barrels have done their work quietly. Still tightly-knit and a touch guarded, but the balance is there for a long, unhurried evolution.
