Sottimano Barbaresco Cottà 2016

Cottà in a great vintage. Black cherry, dried lavender, iron-tinged spice and a cool menthol lift give this wine a floral, almost ethereal quality despite its obvious depth and richness. The texture is broad and generously built — Cottà's site character showing clearly — yet there's a translucency to it that keeps everything light on its feet. Tannins are fine and well-integrated, the acidity precise, and the finish carries long with that signature aromatic purity. A deeply satisfying Barbaresco that captures both the power and the grace of the vintage.
