From Montes Obarenes and the Sierra Cantabria slopes, this Tempranillo-Garnacha-Graciano blend spent 26 months in French oak and has settled into a warm brick at the rim. Dried cherry, cedar, bay leaf and a touch of balsamic on the nose, composed and unhurried. Dry and finely textured across the mouth, with a chalky grip at the finish that lends definition without adding bulk. The cool 2016 growing season keeps everything fresh, and the wine trails off with a lightness that belies its depth. Drink now through 2028.
