Picked at the upper edge of Federspiel weight, this Klostersatz sits closer to Smaragd territory in concentration, though it lacks the lift and brightness of the Frauenweingarten from the same vintage. Snap pea, fresh lima bean and crisp apple come framed by lime zest and crushed stone, with clover and cut grass adding aromatic dimension. What it loses in charm it partly recovers on the finish, long, clean, and genuinely refreshing.
