Vilmart Les Blanches Voies Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2014

Lemon oil, crushed chalk, and white blossom shoot from the glass with real intensity. On the palate, jasmine and wet stone build steadily alongside a herbal undercurrent, culminating in a long, briny finish with serious tension. This is a tightly wound wine, the concentration is all there, but it's coiled tight and not yet giving everything away. Give it three to five years minimum to fully open up.
