Tempranillo with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon, estate-grown in Ribera del Duero and aged through Vega Sicilia's meticulous rotation of barrels and large oak vats. Deep garnet, dense at the core. Cedar, cola, orange peel and licorice on the nose, with dark fruit and a trace of pine resin lurking beneath. Full-bodied and dry, with chalky, plush tannins that anchor a wine of serious weight and definition. This is Unico at its most composed, layered, unhurried, and built with decades in mind.
