Soldera - Case Basse Brunello di Montalcino 2014

A single cask from a brutal, rain-soaked vintage — and somehow Soldera pulled this off. Dark cherry, plum, dried lavender, leather and a trace of clove, all delivered with that characteristic contradiction of power and transparency. There's genuine depth here, but the wine is tightly wound and clearly needs time to reveal its full hand. Soldera has a long history of turning difficult years into something unexpected, and the 2014 looks poised to follow that pattern. Don't touch it for at least a decade. Drink 2034–2055.
