Leitz Rudesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling trocken 2014

Citrus pith, white peach and crushed quartzite leap from the glass, Berg Roseneck's steep soils announcing themselves immediately. The wine is taut and focused, linear in its delivery yet with enough fruit generosity to avoid austerity. A saline, stony bite drives through the finish, leaving the mouth clean and alive. Beautifully calibrated at 12.5% alcohol, this is a textbook dry Rheingau Riesling.
