Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo Castellero 2014

Barolo, Italy

Herbaceous and vegetal from the start, with green notes that overshadow any fruit concentration. The challenging 2014 vintage shows clearly here. These unripe characteristics aren't going anywhere with time. Firm tannins provide structure but can't mask the wine's fundamental flaws. Best consumed now before the vegetal elements become even more prominent. Drink 2020-2026.
