Mint, dried flowers and sweet red cherry lead the nose with straightforward charm. There's genuine depth here, and Cannubi's pedigree shows through, but the tannins are noticeably rough-edged for the vineyard, a product of the challenging 2014 vintage rather than any fault in winemaking. It's an honest, if rustic, expression of the site. Worth revisiting in a few years to see whether bottle age smooths those edges and brings a little more finesse to the fore.
