Dark cherry, blackcurrant and violet lead on the nose, with pipe tobacco and a touch of vanilla emerging as the wine breathes. Generous and plush on the mouth, oak-framed dark berry and spice cake with a thread of dried flowers running through. Fine-grained tannins give shape without any grip, and the finish echoes cherry and warm spice with pleasing length and clarity.
