Quintarelli Valpolicella 2013

Cool-toned and energetic Amarone that leads with crushed raspberry, clove, and a citrus-edged interplay of sweet and sour. Exotic spice, dried rose, and a trace of mint thread through the mid-palate before giving way to ripe cherry, cocoa, and autumnal warmth. The acidity is alive and nervous, keeping everything taut and focused despite the wine's depth and power. Long, lightly structured finish that tapers cleanly. Classic Quintarelli, but this one needs time. Cellar 3–5 years minimum.
