Ripe peach and nectarine lead the way, brightened by a squeeze of fresh lime. This is an openly sweet style, yet buoyant enough to stay refreshing — the residual sugar never quite overwhelms, kept in check by a clean, sustained finish. Part of Ott's Leitz- and Rheingau-inspired series dating back to 2005, it raises an interesting question about how these off-dry Rieslings develop with age — one worth exploring with an older bottling from the cellar.
