Piero Busso Barbaresco San Stunet 2012

The standout of Busso's current lineup, and a fine expression of Treiso's character, deeper and more spice-driven than many of its Barbaresco neighbors. Rose petal, fresh mint and sweet red plum make up the aromatic core, framed by firm, well-defined tannins that give the wine its backbone. There's enough generosity here to drink with pleasure now, though a few more years in the cellar will let those tannins settle and the spice integrate fully. Drink 2025–2035.
