Travaglini Gattinara 2011

Easygoing Gattinara, and honestly a pleasant one. Dried cherry and plum, tobacco leaf, a touch of mint and aged leather, the classic Nebbiolo profile in a softer, more immediately generous form. Tannins are present but undemanding, and the finish cuts off a little sooner than you'd hope. Still, for an entry point into the appellation, it delivers what it promises. Drink now.
