Twelve years under voile transforms Les Bruyères into something closer to a fine Amontillado than a conventional Vin Jaune, the nose is all acetaldehyde, toasted bread, and oxidative funk, pungent and compelling. The palate is where it truly earns its reputation: concentrated, full-bodied, and awash in salted nuts and savory depth. A significant cut above the standard bottling.
