Generous and open-knit from the first pour. Black cherry, plum, mocha and a touch of licorice fill out a soft, approachable frame, with just enough spice to keep things interesting. The finish lifts with fresh florals and a sweet balsamic note that lingers pleasantly. Medium-bodied, with supple tannins and no hard edges, this is Mondino drinking well now and showing no signs of fading over the next several years.
