Bitter cherry, raspberry and dried rose on the nose, grounded by an earthy, stony thread that gives the wine its character. Spice-driven and focused on the palate, with a gentle sweetness held in check by fine, composed tannins. The finish is clean and persistent, cherry stone and warm spice trailing off slowly. A well-made, honest Rioja that punches above its entry-level status.
