Chamomile, toasted hazelnuts and dried florals show intensity but lack the customary finesse. The palate feels pushed, with power overwhelming elegance. Old-vine fruit from Les Robarts and La Voie d'Epernay delivers concentration but the finish cuts short, missing the complexity this site usually provides. An uncharacteristic showing that feels somewhat disjointed.
