Mondino carries a bit more flesh and weight than the Borgese, with a fuller mid-palate and slightly richer texture. The aromatic and flavor territory is familiar, dried rose, red cherry, a touch of earth and dried herbs, but there's a roundness here that makes it more immediately generous. Tannins are present but not demanding; this is Barbaresco built for near-term pleasure rather than the cellar. Drink over the next few years.
