Oddero Barolo Riserva Vigna Rionda 2009

Vigna Rionda shows its pedigree from the first sniff — white truffle, kirsch, dried rose and a cool thread of menthol and licorice lifting the whole thing. The 2009 vintage warmth comes through in the body, plush and generous, though a faint dryness on the back end of the finish is a candid signature of the era. Still, this is a distinguished expression of one of Barolo's finest crus.
