Harvested November 15th from a late, cool growing season, this Kollmitz shows clear evolution on the nose, honeyed fruit with a lifted, almost oxidative edge. The palate tells a different story: nettle, bright lemon, and a stony, unyielding mineral core that drives through to a long, austere finish. The characteristic Pichler tautness is fully present and uncompromising. With enough bottle age, the line between Grüner and Riesling genuinely begins to blur, only the variety's signature white pepper keeps this from passing as a lean, citric Riesling of real distinction. Still pristine, still pulsing with life. Bone-dry. Drink now through 2025.
