Oddero Barolo Brunate 2008

Redcurrant, dried plum, coffee grounds and truffle, with a mellow undercurrent of toasted oak. Silky and pliant on entry, the red fruit comes across as almost perfumed — early-drinking in character, with a seductive roundness that sets Brunate apart from more austere Barolo sites. Broad, sweet tannins carry through to a finish of genuine length. Drink now through 2028.
