M. Sorrel Hermitage 2008

Refined and graceful, but lacks the muscle Hermitage demands. Red fruit and floral notes flow with elegance, touched by hints of earth and spice. The structure feels polished yet restrained. Missing the dense, brooding character that separates great Hermitage from pretty northern Rhône. Well-made but ultimately underwhelming for the appellation.
