Cristal Rosé 2008

Crushed raspberry, blood orange, and chalk dust open with composed intensity. There's a coiled energy here—ripe red fruit pulled tight by a stony, flinty spine that refuses to let the wine go soft. Persistent bead with genuine presence, threading strawberry flesh and citrus pith through a finish that just won't quit. What Lécaillon achieved is that rare balance: generosity without indulgence, precision without austerity. The 2008 vintage suits this cuvée perfectly. Gorgeous now, and with a decade or more of graceful development still ahead.
