Cavallotto Barolo Vignolo Riserva 2008

Dark cherry, smoked meat and espresso on the nose, with game and leather adding depth beneath. Rich and concentrated on the tongue — dark raspberry and tar coat the palate with serious weight. The tannins are big and ripe, building steadily through a long finish laced with black cherry and licorice. This is Barolo in a powerful register, still with years ahead of it. Drink 2024–2038.
